His favorite part of the day

When Jeff got home from work today, he asked Ty one of our typical questions, "What was your favorite part of the day?" Today, Tyler had a new answer...he responded, "You loving me" and ran up and gave Jeff a big hug.

Nothing like a 3 and a half year old to turn your day around.

The Burke's visit!

Last weekend, we had a great time as Sue, Kelli, and Kevin came to visit us. We had a fun day in the city with visits to the Shake Shack (of course), Madison Square Park, and our first visit to the Times Square Toys R Us (including a ride on the ferris wheel). The next day we played games and went to two parks near our house. We had a lot of fun! For more pictures, click here.

More fun at the Long Island Children's Museum

Ty, Megan, and I spent a Friday morning a couple of weeks ago back at the Long Island Children's Museum with our friends. Just like last time, we had a great time. It's fun to see how Ty's interests there changed in just a few months. Click here for more pictures.

Look at me!--an update on Megan

It's hard to believe how quickly Megan's growing. Here are some highlights from this month:

As you can see above, Megan has found her hands and loves to hold them together. She's also found her thumb and appears to prefer it to her pacifier, although as you can see in the video below, she still uses the pacifier for hand-eye coordination practice.

About a week ago, she started rolling from back to tummy...as you can see in the picture below, I guess this means we'll need to put her on a bigger blanket.

• Megan's starting to be a conversationalist, just like her big brother. Her favorite talking companion? The bird on her play gym. Watch her in action below.

Seeing all of the cousins in one weekend

A couple of weeks ago, Ty and Megan had the opportunity to see all of their cousins on both sides in one weekend. Megan got to meet the Burke's, Chernesky's, and Raney's and Ty basically played nonstop, including going on many "adventures" guided by maps that he made with Kelli and Kaitlyn (see photo below). Thanks to all of the cousins for giving Ty and Megan so much attention. It made it a very happy weekend for them. For more pictures, click here.
